Jae is an Airbender and Pavi’s mentor and friend. Major Curda provides his English voice.
His role around Pavi
Jae connects the new Avatar's personal world with the responsibilities around bending. The official series overview describes him as a friend and mentor, which is a useful starting point before the opening episodes complicate that position.
The early story without the outcomes
Episode 3's description gives Jae a major decision after he encounters a secret organization. Episode 5 places him in an investigation with Karthik, while episode 6 follows unrest involving the Bending Brigade. These threads explain why his story extends beyond accompanying Pavi.
Is Jae related to earlier Airbenders?
The introductory cast materials do not establish a family connection to Tenzin. Shared bending ability is not a family tree. To understand the earlier Air Nation without assuming a link, read Tenzin's separate profile.
Voice actor
Major Curda is credited as Jae. Paramount's casting introduction lists Riverdale, Atypical and the Broadway production KPOP among his previous work. Actor credits can help identify a familiar voice, but the character's loyalties should be judged from the episodes themselves.
