Avatar Kuruk: Wave of Chaos is an announced animated series following a teenage Kuruk. Bryan Konietzko is the showrunner; a premiere date is not supplied in the announcement cited here.
The announced premise
The story follows a young Kuruk learning the four elements through travels and adventures. The official description includes his teacher, pirates and unruly spirits, along with Kuruk's pet, Nikik.
That premise supplies the starting idea, not an episode list. It should not be expanded into a season-by-season plot or a countdown without a later announcement.
Who is making it?
The series comes from Avatar Studios and Nickelodeon Animation Studios, with Bryan Konietzko serving as showrunner. The first-look announcement was made at New York Comic Con on October 9, 2026.
Where it fits
Kuruk precedes Kyoshi in the Avatar cycle, placing his story long before Aang, Korra and Pavi. Wave of Chaos is not a new book of Seven Havens. The two projects share a franchise but follow different Avatars and periods.
Release date and episode count
The official introduction cited below does not provide a premiere date or a complete episode count for Wave of Chaos. The 13-episode figures announced for Seven Havens' first two books should not be transferred to Kuruk's series.
For the character's position in the cycle, read Kuruk's profile. For an already scheduled series, the Seven Havens calendar lists the confirmed Book 1 dates. Keeping those calendars separate prevents one show's announcement from becoming another show's invented release date.
