Jinora — character guide

Her family and training

Jinora grows up within Tenzin's family and the effort to maintain Air Nomad culture. Her role expands beyond being a student or one of Korra's younger companions.

Spiritual ability

The series gives Jinora a significant connection to spiritual matters. That should be distinguished from being the Avatar: spiritual perception is not the same thing as access to all four elements or to the Avatar cycle.

Where to follow her development

The later books develop Jinora's responsibility within the Air Nation. Watch in sequence if you want the milestones to retain their meaning rather than beginning with a compilation of later scenes.

Kiernan Shipka provides her English voice. Tenzin's profile explains the family connections, and the seasons guide places the larger spiritual and Air Nation storylines in order.
